Frequently Asked Questions

1. Q.

I need a job, do you have any?

  A.

We are a system designed to provide you with resources and skills necessary to enhance your job search. A wide array of services are available to help businesses find quality workers and to help job seekers obtain employment. At your first visit to one of our offices, located in a Southwestern Illinois WorkNet Center, we recommend you sign up to attend an orientation to introduce you to all the services available at the Center. If you prefer, you may call to register.

2. Q.

Can you help me with a resume?

  A.

Yes, we have a user-friendly software program (Win-Way Resume) that you can use to type your resume. Winway prompts you through the resume format, helpful phrases to explain your skills and the cover letter process. If you need assistance with this software, there is always someone on staff available to help. We save your resume to a disc and provide you with up to 20 printed copies per day if needed. You can then come in anytime and get additional copies or make changes to your resume. We also fax resumes to perspective employers.
