Customized Services
Every IETC has conference rooms, copiers, fax machines, and staff assistance available to employers. For example, should an employer need a space to conduct interviews of job applicants or new-employee orientations, they can use rooms in the IETC. Scheduling can be done to accommodate the employer's specific needs.
In support of on-site hiring events, our staff will publicize the day, time, and location, including complete job descriptions for the position throughout the Metro East area.
The Workforce Investment Act Grant includes funding for employers to utilize the On-The-Job Training Program. Employers can receive 50 percent of new-employee's wages reimbursed through this program. We will work with the employer to write a training outline designed to teach the new employee new skills on the job.
Employers can also use our Business Representatives as the point-of-contact for job openings. We can post job openings and then accept phone calls, walk-ins and resumes from job applicants on behalf of the employer. This frees up the employer for regular day-to-day business operations.
