Lay off / Plant Closure Support
For businesses that are experiencing large numbers of layoffs or a possible plant closure, WIA staff can assist! We have specially trained staff to come into your place of business and discuss with your employees the options available to them. Usually employees in these situations are automatically eligible for WIA funds that can be used toward re-training, i.e., going to school for new skills. Regardless of eligibility, every employee is welcome in the Resource Centers of the Worknet Centers to use the many services for their job search.
