Job Listings

The Madison County Employment and Training Department, located in the IETC, are the best place to find out about jobs that have been listed by local businesses. The Illinois Skills Match is a job matching system with constant matching of job seekers to a database of open positions. The system is based on a 100% skill matching of your skills with the employer's requirements. The “classified” sections of all the local newspapers are prominently displayed. The Centers maintain bulletin boards with up-to-date listings, and instructions for applying. The Center provides information on the application process for Federal, State, and Local government jobs.

The Illinois Employment and Training Centers are also equipped with multiple computers that have high-speed internet access, where job postings can be accessed. A list of job search-related web sites is also available.

The following are services offered that are related to job listings:

• Job bulletin boards and binders of current job listings are available for your use in all the Centers.

• The Sorkins Directory of Business is available to help you search for prospective businesses.
  
• Illinois workNet provides local job listings on their Job Board as well as many other job search resources.
  
• Illinois Skills Match can quickly match your job requirements and skills to thousands of job openings in Illinois.
  
• America's Job Bank has thousands of new jobs that are posted daily by employers searching for someone like you.
